The only dangerous animal in new Zealand is the wild kiwi, often seen drink driving and not wearing shoes. The kiwi ( Latin name yahnahous nahyeahohs) is often seen forging for food in the local pak N save , it's been to engage with them wearing no shoes so they don't see you as a treat.
